Speed tests of Pendolino

On the 24th of November the train Pendolino reached a record speed

293 km/h during the speed tests on the Jurassic part of the route of the Central Rail Line.

Pendolino’s test-driving was the fastest train passing in Poland, establishing the new speed record on Polish railway tracks.

Plastwil  not only supplied the elements for the railway surface, where the tests were held, but also participated in the record beating on the 24th November.

The driving test was attended by the Deputy Minister of Railway Infrastructure – Andrew Massel and the Director of the Institute of Railway - Andrew Zhurkowski. Plastwil was representd by the company’s President Izabella Walkowska.

Speed testing is a part of dynamic tests, examining different train’s aspects taking in account the compatibility with Polish infrastructure and operational safety.
